Description

Banda Sea on MSY Pindito

About the Pindito

The Pindito offers the most experienced and knowledgeable liveaboard operation on Raja Ampat and in Komodo. The boat has 8 double cabins featuring individually controlled air conditioning, ensuite heads with a shower, vanity and toilet. Each cabin is 10' X 10' and has 5 220V AC electrical outlets! Fresh towels are provided daily and additional deck towels are provided as needed. The general schedule each day is eat, dive, eat, dive, eat, dive, eat, dive and then get some sleep. More dives are available if the Pindito is anchored or moored over a calm reef! The crew will transfer your gear on and off the Zodiacs for each dive. There is no need for you to work - you are on vacation, after all.

About the diving

The trip begins in Ambon, capital of the Moluccas. From there we will visit the best dive sites of Saparua and Nusa Laut before we reach the historically important Spice Island Banda Neira. A strategic Dutch colony from history hard fought for in the 16th and 17th centuries. Fascinating land excursions to the old Dutch fort or climbing the volcanoes gives a complete feel to this trip. Along the east coast of Ceram we continue towards Raja Ampat. The fantastic labyrinth of islands around Misool is incredible and has been scientifically proven to be the epicenter of global marine biodiversity. In the Raja Ampat Marine Park we will spend 7 memorable days and the trip will finish in Sorong, West Papua.
