Here are some tips that may come in handy
as you travel...
Any forms that you download will be PDF files.
Passports ... as of January 1, 2008, anyone traveling
outside of the US will be required to present a current/valid passport in
order to enter/re-enter the US. This means that by the end of 2007,
everyone should have a passport if they intend to do ANY international
travel. You can find out more about getting a passport at the
State
Department Webiste. You can download an application and read
all the rules for applying for a passport.
Weight Limits ... All domestic airlines have now
reduced their weight limits on free checked bags to 50 pounds per bag.
This also applies to international travel. Some of the international
airlines may still have a 70 pound limit. But, you need to be sure to
check before you go to the airport. In MANY (not all) cases, if you
are flying a domestic airline to a gateway city - and then connecting to an
international carrier with a higher weight limit - the domestic carrier will
honor the limits of the international carrier! To be safe, it is
always best to check with your airline prior to travel. You can
do this by calling the airline directly or checking their website.
Traveling with Minors
... There are very specific rules concerning
traveling with minors. Unless a child is traveling with both birth parents,
you will need to have proper authorization for traveling with that child.
We have some forms that may help you in this matter. There are three
options ... see which one applies to you. Print the form - fill it out -
have it notarized - take it with you to the airport.

Luggage Tags
... Your luggage tags should provide your name
and phone number. But, you might consider leaving your address off the tag
- it's like advertising that address to be vacant! Be sure to put your name
and phone number INSIDE your bag also. We have a form for your luggage
itineraries ... just click here
Call Ahead ...
Phone your hotel before you go and ask what amenities will be in your room,
such as shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc... Then you can avoid packing
whatever the hotel is providing.
Avoid Leaks ...
Pack solid perfume and stick or cream foundation and
deodorant!
Things that go bump ...
A night light takes up almost no space in your
suitcase and makes bumping into furniture and walls in strange rooms a thing
of the past.
Sign Language ...
Putting out the doorknob sign to request maid service is like hanging out a
red flag saying "This room is empty". Don't do it!!
